Swartzia fistuloïdes African wood with a pink colour, before oxidising it closely resembles Bois De Rose, both in color and shape. Its specific weight is very high and is around 1000 kg per cubic metre, but it is not difficult to cut. Its scent is acrid, and resembles that of cocobolo. Its sound is similar to the sound of rosewood, in particular that of Honduras rosewood.
